Subject: [departmentals] Fwd: Reading west railway station

Hello all

Please see email below from the police regarding an unfortunate
incident at Reading West station on saturday. If you can help with any
info please get in touch with Chris direct on the email / phone
numbers below. I have checked with him that he is happy for these
numbers to be widely posted here.

I know there are people on these groups who are local to the area and
the wagon people may even know someone who was there last weekend?

Hello

I am a Police officer with the British Transport police (BTP) based
at PADDINGTON.

I am investigating a rather nasty assault at READING WEST railway
station that took place on Saturday 16th February 2008 some time
between 12:00hrs and 14:00hrs, of a chap who was there taking pictures
of trains, whilst his wife went shopping.

I have been given the name of your site by some chaps I spoke to,
today at Reading West.

I am keen to speak to an older gentleman aged about 70 years with
white hair, who was taking numbers of trains and who also spoke to the
victim on the over bridge at the station, there was also another male
at the far end of the Reading bound platform with a video camera.

Can I ask you to put a notice on your web site to that effect.

If anybody has any information that they my think is of use they can
contact me in a number of ways.

By phoning BTP on 0800 40 50 40 and asking for incident No 138
19/02/2008 and leaving a message, call me direct on 07766448765 or
email christopher. church@btp. pnn.police. uk

Also, if you know of any other train enthusiast sites that have
notice boards (especially in the Reading area) could you please
forward this on.

May I take this opportunity to thank you in advance.

Regards

DC Church 4402
