RAIL firm c2c is going a long way beyond the letter of the law when the nationwide smoking ban comes in on Sunday.
It is extending the smoking ban to virtually the whole of its stations, leaving some open forecourts and car parks the sole haven for nicotine addicts.
The firm says a blanket ban will be simpler for travellers to understand and for staff to enforce and is likely to be widely accepted.
A recent passenger survey showed 75 per cent favoured a total ban, with 21 per cent actively opposed to such a move.
The above is from their local paper. I now wonder if this puts a ban on Steam Hauled trains along the line? _________________ Once the misery line, but now passed on to another.
See www.bramleyline.org.uk where one day we just might see an Ex-LT&SR Standard 4 steaming along as a Guest loco.
