Fenvhurch Street to Barking
Barking to Southend
and
Tilbury Loop.

Some great LTS books. I was browsing through Barking to Southend, and the caption for Pic 50 claims that the 312 is off to Tilbury (it says it on the destination blind.) That really confused me until I remembered We used to out Tilbury up on the Southend Central via Ockendon trains, and changed it to Southend at Ockendon (if we remembered!)

I wonder how many other authors have been caught out by our local habbits?

Unfortunately for me, I am on a low income, so books tend to prove a bit expensive, the same as Railway dvd's. I rely a lot on charity Shops for these items and have to confess, so far I have been generally lucky. Some shops do tend to overcharge for some items, but I say nothing and simply leave them on their shelves.

I am always on the lookout for books, video's or dvd's on this line, but refuse to pay nearly £20 for a dvd.

Admin, you should try eBay for steam related media. In particular I have bought many DVDs and videos, never more than £5 and that's including postage. Select Film and DVD, type in steam railway for example and browse - happy hunting

Thanks Dave, but I have nothing to do with E-bay as I have heard of so many fraudsters on there.
I saw some dvd's in a local shop recently that are Railway orientated and they want 'Only £5.99' I bought four of these same dvds a couple of months ago at literally £1 each and where I lived at the time. i might go and get some more at that price, then put them on a stall at 'Just £2.99' and close to the shop selling them at £5.99. Laughing
