I have in my collection of books, the autobiography of the now Late Joan Sims, who some of you know was born at Laindon Station and her late Father was the then Station Master.

In the book titled 'High Spirits' and written by Joan, she refers to her life there, as well as has a photo of her taken in the Yard. I was born behind the houses seen in the background of the same photo. In all honesty, I found it a very interesting read and not just about the LT&SR section.
