TRAIN operator c2c has announced engineering work that will cause severe disruption at weekends and evening to Easter, though the Thurrock loop is largely unaffected.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 8 & 9 buses will replace trains between Upminster and Pitsea via Laindon, all day.
Trains from London will operate via Rainham to Shoeburyness, calling at all stations, every half an hour.
Trains will be unable to run between Barking and Upminster. A shuttle train service will operate between Upminster and Grays.
On Saturday, March 15 buses will replace trains between Barking and Pitsea via Laindon, and between Leigh-on-Sea to Shoeburyness every half an hour.
Trains from London will terminate at Leigh-on-Sea. A shuttle train service will operate between Upminster and Grays. Trains from London will operate via Rainham to Leigh-on-Sea.
From Monday, March 17 to Thursday March 20 late evening services will be disrupted. From 10.35 pm each evening an amended timetable will be in operation. Buses will replace trains between Upminster and Pitsea via Laindon.
A service between Upminster and Grays will be in operation.
On Friday, March 21 (Good Friday) and Monday, march 24 (Easter Monday) a Sunday service will operate across the entire route.

I have a free pass - 16 boxes - and asked to avoid rush hour and travel at weekends, but if I want to travel on a bus, I will await my countrywide pass and start on 1st of next month, but I am not an April Fool.
