This last weekend while in Dagenham, I went to visit the station known simply as Dagenham Dock as I had played near there as a child in the 1950's and 1960's, where I saw many a freight train pass through with a rake of some 52 coal wagons behind a Standard Tank 2-6-4T. Oh what a surprise, or should I say shock, I got when down there? I will sort and post the previous pictures on here, along with those I took this last weekend, titling them before and after. _________________ Once the misery line, but now passed on to another.
See www.bramleyline.org.uk where one day we just might see an Ex-LT&SR Standard 4 steaming along as a Guest loco.
Last week I visited Dagenham Dock and got some pics before being told in NO uncertain terms I was to stop. this one shows a sign on the bottom of the steps, but on the INSIDE and then the next picture shows the reason WHY the crossing is closed.
I would have thought it would make MORE sense to put the sign where it can be read BEFORE trying to cross the line and go down into the lower part of Chequers Lane? To think, people get paid HIGH salries to come up with these ideas. _________________ Once the misery line, but now passed on to another.

Ten minutes later, EWS 66 025 passes through behind with a Car train, but look at the next picture and see what was running alongside it. These shots were taken of both using the Euro tunnel lines.
My apologies for the bluriness of 66.

Shortly before being TOLD not to take photo's of the trains, class 357 202 approached the station and got the picture below.
It was after the one below this and the arrival of 357 214 that I got TOLD not to take photographs.

Some Moron hiding in the Booking Office, but NOT the Gentleman at the window. I will continue to take photo's of railways UNTIL they can prove I'm a security risk. As we know, there are Billions of photo's taken every week and no Security threat. I was elsewhere on Saturday last, in the semi-darkness and trying to get some pictures of Union of South Africa as it passed me. My pictures never came out, but at least I still got to see it and NO threat to Security.
This weekend, I am hoping to go to Ely, Cambridgeshire where steam loco 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' will be appearing, but at least there, I know most of the staff, plus most of them know me and we ALWAYS get on well. _________________ Once the misery line, but now passed on to another.

I went to Dagenham Dock a while ago with my dad, it was a very lonely place, and we decided to film from the footbridge, even though it was harder to capture anything, we never got told off...
Anyway here are my dad's shots, (I was filming them while he photo'ed):
