Services were severely disrupted today following the discovery of a WWII bomb at Bromley-By-Bow this afternoon. Passengers were redirected to Liverpool Street and other services were starting and terminating at Barking, while a Bomb Disposal Squad travelled from Colchester to deal with the device.

Now safely dealt with and as late as yesterday by a reported 15 members of the Bomb Disposal unit, services are now back to normal.

Just as expected, some of the commuters started screaming out for compensation as if it was the fault of c2c and not the builders who found it. Had it gone off and killed people, then they would have been demanding to know why it wasn't dealt with. One guy claims he parked his car at his home station and got to the end of the line before being told services were disrupted, so got a cab back home and wants to claim off the railway for it. I would tell him "On your bike Sunshine." Total Plonker.

I got caught up in the disruption a couple of days (Friday was the worst) and for once, most people were ok about it and seemed to realise that it wasn't C2C's fault.  Still got the occaisional person giving station staff a hard time!

Thank you for this Mr. Black. As we know, there is always one though.
